Correction
We were notified earlier today about a mistake in one of our stories.

Here at
RheaCountyNewspaper.com we strive to print only the truth and be fair about it.
We also will not "candy coat" a story so as to make anyone feel special.

In a story concerning the reduction of bail for accused murderer Len Rogers we reported
that Judge McKenzie was the judge that reduced Len Rogers' bond. Apparently, that was
an incorrect statement. As to our new found information it was Circuit Judge J. Curtis
Smith who first set Rogers' bail bond and was Circuit Judge Rusty Graham who reduced
it. You can
click here to link to the story with the updated corrections.

We apologize for any problems this oversight in printing the wrong name, but then again, I
may have learned a lesson as well. When I call the clerk's office and ask what I thought to
be a relatively simple question I just sort of thought I could get a straight answer.

Also, one mistake of fact isn't too bad considering we are a bunch of mouthy amateurs
shining a big spot light on a nest of rats, for FREE I might add.

So you guys, by all means, if you find something that is not factual drop us a line at

Without credibility it is hard to be credible...

Maybe I should engrave that on a plaque and send to Billy Ray Patton.
