The
Rhea County Newspaper
"Rhea County's REAL Information Source"
Since there really isn't anything to report about we figured we would just go ahead
and throw this story out there. After all, the Herald-News will probably run this as a
headline above fold story in spite of the fellow being dead for several days, added to
the already several days behind the Herald is with it's reports anyways.

So, just to pop their cherry once again with another story that is "too little-too late" we
will tell you what is what about this dead body found in Rhea County on Dayton
Mountain Monday.

According to reports, a man that was reported missing from Bledsoe County on Friday
night was found dead in a car crash on Dayton Mountain in Rhea County.

Tommy Gibbons, 42, was reported missing by his wife. He had been last seen at the
Waffle House on Hwy. 153 in Chattanooga. A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued
but he wasn't sited during the duration of roughly three days.

Late Monday afternoon, three days after he was last seen, Rhea County Dispatchers
were notified of a car off the road that apparently crashed down a large embankment
at Tigues Creek on Dayton Mountain. A sheriff's deputy arrived and found Gibbons
dead on the scene.

It is believed that Gibbons' Monte Carlo appeared to have been traveling westbound
on Hwy. 30 when it left the road. Investigators say there is no appearance of foul play
but seem clueless as to how the crash occurred.

Then again, it has been reported many times in the past of people who shot
themselves in the back of their head not once but TWICE, who were bound in a chair
with duct tape who shot themselves in the head, then managed to unbind themselves
so as to hide the rifle they used to shoot themselves only to then come back to the
chair and apparently bind themselves again with the duct tape.

Once again we have another dead body in Rhea County and once again it was
obviously just another
sad "accident" ... "Rhea County style". Perhaps back when
EX-Commissioner Harold Fisher reportedly said, "
we do not need people thinking
Rhea County is like Mayberry RFD
" He once again "bumped his gums" as to
something he knows nothing about. Apparently Fisher was either too stupid or too
dumb to realize how nice and SAFE Mayberry RFD really is.

Hey folks, it is YOUR county. Continue to keep paying the ever increasing taxation
THEY place on you while making their "circle of certain people" wealthy. They call
elected and appointed officials "public servants" yet so many people look at them like
such officials seem to act..."PUBLIC MASTERS".

Just keep complaining and whining about it all folks. But while you are doing that,
make certain to work harder for less and pay more for less. Once you go broke, sell off
your truck and hop on a bicycle pedaling around the county, be sure to wave and
smile at Dayton Police Chief as he buzzes all over in a city issued SUV with FREE gas
and a hefty $950 a week salary that YOU pay for.
