Everywhere in the country it seems that people talk about domestic violence, child
abuse and even the sickest of them all, child molestation.
What is it within someone’s mind that makes them want to “get off” and have sex, or
fulfill some sort of perverted sexual fantasy using a child?
It seems Rhea County Tennessee has more than it’s fair share of “baby rapers”, “child
molesters“, “predators“, whatever you want to call the sexual deviants.
Personally, maybe any man that has the need to molest a 9 year old boy should be
called “dancers”. Yep, they could “dance” all they want on the end of a rope. Then
again, lynching has been outlawed, but so has public corruption and we all see how
those laws get enforced.
What could possibly be worse than a full grown man molesting a 9 year old boy?
Perhaps a person who molested a 9 year old boy 10 or 11 times and even admitted to
molesting this 9 year old boy to Inspector Clouseau, I mean, Darrell Bull for the Dayton
Police Department of molesting the boy 7 times.
Jonathan Eugene Loper, 21 of Dayton, TN was charged with 7 counts of aggravated
sexual battery upon a 9 year old child. Each of these very serious charges are Class B
felonies. Naturally, since Loper had confessed and gave a recorded statement that he
was the sexual pervert that molested a 9 year old boy, the Herald-News buries the story
way back on page A-8 (Oct. 24 edition) that Assistant District Attorney Jim Pope all but
let this pervert walk scott free!
Surely to goodness this was another editing slip up from John Carpenter, who
obviously made an D - in spelling bee competitions, but no, it was no slip up at all. The
story was true!
Admit to molesting a 9 year old boy 7 times in Rhea County and the D.A.'s office will
allow you to plead to simple "ATTEMPTED" and give you community service.
At this point you are probably thinking, what?
Why in the hell would an assistant district attorney gather up 7 counts of aggravated
sexual battery against a 9 year old boy, 7 counts that Loper confessed to, and reduce
those aggravated charges down to only 1 charge of “ATTEMPTED aggravated sexual
battery?
Furthermore, why would a judge even accept such a plea?
John Carpenter who wrote this disgusting story didn’t put the story on the front page
where everyone could see it. Obviously Carpenter is aware that virtually everyone who
buys the Herald-News stops reading at page 4 then jumps to the classifieds. Carpenter
sure did his best to make it sound as though Jim Pope done something good by
pleading this case out.
Which is more harmful to that small 9 year old boy. The not having to go through a trial
or knowing that his molester got away with it and will more than likely do it again. If any
other little boy gets molested by this Loper fellow then perhaps Jim Pope should go to
jail for it.
Yep, Jonathan Loper confesses to aggravated sexual battery victimizing a small 9 year
old boy and we have Jim Pope who obviously missed his calling as a rocket scientist
or brain surgeon, and dropped all 7 charges against the dude that confessed to the
molestation, and let him walk by allowing him to plead guilty to ATTEMPTED
aggravated sexual battery.
You people tell me what is wrong with this picture.
Pope tried his best to track down illegal Mexicans so he could crucify June Griffin for
violating the rights of a person who had no rights to violate. Now he is allowing a
confessed pedophile to walk with only 1 year and 100 hours of community service.
There you have it folks, another story that the Herald-News did not want you to see.
They only want you to see what THEY want you to see, but that way of non-reporting of
local news is what created this online alternative that is got the Herald scared.

will say this, I bet they each are avid readers of “Richards” full page Food Section in
the Herald-News.
